Inspired by Leopardi’s words, the project is based on the “Kolshi”, a traditional Bengali jug, an object connected to the element of water, essential for life on our planet. Its shape, designed to approach the hip of the human being, is inspired by the female body. This container becomes the essential bridge between man, a creature in search of happiness through the pleasures he has created, and nature, a world disconnected from human life, which needs only itself to continue its existence.
While in the world created by man, who has moved away from the simplicity of nature, happiness becomes something very complex, fleeting and impermanent, in the natural world happiness finds a stable dimension precisely because of the simplicity that characterises nature.
Using the technique of optical art, a play of reflections is built up that tells the story of the bond between man and nature. An indissoluble union given by the belonging and origin of the human being to the natural world.
